Christmas? In July???
 Why not? Now is the perfect time to get a jump-start on Christmas projects, gift ideas, hand-made cards and pre-made layouts! Take advantage of the time you have now, so you're not rushed when the Holidays arrive.
We'll have fun Christmas-themed games like Christmas Bingo, Name That Carol, ABC's of Christmas and more! Pencil in some time for our project tutorials for you and the kids to enjoy, including making an Advent Calendar, altered candles and a wall hanging. We have super cute ideas for stocking stuffers and other gift ideas, and inspiration for handmade cards (you KNOW you want to send out extra-special cards this year) and layouts.
We are featuring some of our favorite sketches from PageMaps, so if you're a fan of Becky Fleck, be sure to check out our sketch challenges!
We'll officially kick off "Christmas? In July?" on July 7th (so everyone can recuperate from Independence Day) with a game of Christmas Bingo! We'd like to thank everyone who cropped with us both online and here in person. A donation will be made to the Dalton Help Foundation this month.
Dalton's Crop for Autism is scheduled for September 6th, 2008 and Memory Book Inspirations will be participating in that crop as well. We are excited to be a part of such a worthwhile charity. Bert's Tip Jar: Rub-Ons...not just for scrapbooking!
1. Use them to decorate a plastic trash can to make a fun and functional piece of art for your craft room!
2. Add your favorite quote a mirror
3. Use a flourish rub-on to accent a plain glass votive candle holder
4. Use rub-on alphas to put names or dates on thrift store picture frames (you can also use other decorative rub-ons here too).
5. You can use seasonal rub-ons to dress up a plain candy dish.
6. Add rub-ons directly to your favorite photo before you put it in the frame.
Be creative...rub-ons have so many uses, these are just a few! |
